"Flavor of Love" managed to break up Tyler Perry’s usual Tri-fecta by attracting a tenth of a percentage point more audience and thus claiming third place. [Rankings are based on the percentage of African-American viewers captured of all those watching at that particular hour.]
OHIO TOURISM DIVISION AWARDS MULTICULTURAL MARKETING CONTRACT
Columbus, OH (BlackNews.com) - Lieutenant Governor Lee Fisher today announced that Singleton & Partners, Ltd. (Cleveland) has been awarded a two-year contract to market Ohio’s tourism experiences to multicultural audiences. Singleton & Partners, Ltd. was selected via an RFP (Request for Proposal) process conducted by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services on behalf of the Ohio Tourism Division.

‘Essence’ ranks No.1 in ad revenues for March; ‘The Green’ has biggest gain
(April 6, 2008) Essence magazine led all black-oriented titles in total ad dollars for the month March, according to Media Economics Group’s estimates and rankings. The black women’s monthly had $19.48 million in ad dollars, compared with $14.0 million for the same month last year, or an increase of 39.1 percent.
Eight of the top 25 black magazines posted a drop in ad revenue for March, reflecting the tightening spending among major advertisers.
Among the magazine showing the greatest growth for the period were The Green (163%), Heart & Soul (90.8%) and The Source (87.8%).
