REACH Media appoints Barry Cooper as Vice President Interactive
(February 27, 2008) Officials at REACH Media have confirmed that Barry Cooper, founder of the pioneering Web site, BlackVoices.com, has been hired as the company’s Vice President of Interactive. The story was first reported by Richard Prince’s Journal-isms column.
Cooper, who is currently the online managing editor at the Virginian-Pilot, will oversee BlackAmericaWeb.com. The site, best known for its creator, radio superstar Tom Joyner, attracts 30,000 unique visitors daily.
REACH Media’s primary shareholder is Radio One, and presumably Cooper will have some role in the larger firm’s interactive plans in the future.
